This old character villa was repainted in 2022/2023. The team carefully removed 80% of the existing coatings, following protocol for removal of lead-based paints.
Stainless steel flat soakers were also installed to all weatherboard joins to protect against water ingress. Soakers or silicone are the best protection against inevitable natural movement of the timber. Regular water-based fillers don't stand up to this movement and cause these joins to open up again in the future.
Clad in beautiful native timber, this villa was a successful restoration!
